DC Research Center focuses on the technical fields such as HVDC transmission, and MV/LV DC power distribution and supply. It also engages with theoretical research, technical research and engineering construction at the device, equipment and system levels.

* Develop and research new-generation customized IGCT-Plus devices for the DC power grid to respond to the demand for application of the DC circuit breaker HV large-capacity transient interrupting and novel converter.
* Lead the world in multiple performance indicators, significantly reduce costs, and successfully adapt core devices to domestic settings.

* First ever hybrid DC circuit breaker, created by combining coupled negative voltage and cross bridge valve group technologies.
